Tibasosa
Recently crowned the "Most Beautiful Town in Boyacá," Tibasosa is a charming town within the Sugamuxi province celebrated for its colonial buildings and natural surroundings. The town square is adorned with colonial structures, now housing vibrant restaurants and souvenir boutiques. Notably, the town square proudly displays portraits of its mayors, a significant number of whom have been pioneering women throughout Tibasosa's history, painted by the skilled hands of our artist Juan Carlos Morales. Nestled at an altitude of 2,550 meters above sea level, Tibasosa has a temperate climate, making it a haven for approximately 14,463 residents. Tibasosa is often referred to as "the Garden of Boyacá," offering a picturesque backdrop for tourism with its abundant biodiversity. There are flowers everywhere! The town has gained national recognition for its feijoa production, inspiring a food industry centered around products such as jams, candies, ice cream, and the renowned liquor, sabajón.
